I’m trying to add a kicker (like a subtitle but on top of the title, german: Dachzeile) to the articles (e.g. as seen on this newspaper website: https://www.spiegel.de/). I found this plugin and installed it: https://wordpress.com/de/plugins/wp-subtitle
But i can’t find a setting in wordpress to show it on the homepage or the article page. Is there a setting to activate it?
Hello,
A workaround is to set the subtitle in the excerpt section https://i.imgur.com/SogpdEY.png , which is displayed on the block. Alternatively, you can use the subtitle element inside the post https://i.imgur.com/KdQHR3W.png
Thank you!
Hey, we are using the excerpt section already for the excerpt. I want to keep the excerpt for below the title and add the kicker for above the title. On usual blocks on the website, as well as on the post. Is there any way?
About the subititle-element: where do i have to insert text so that it is displayed in that section?
Hi,
Thanks for the answer, this is working for me!
– I am now wondering how i can show the subtitle together with the title on e.g. the home page and not only on the post page?
– And is there a way to move the section where I can insert the subtitle further to the top, e.g. to the post settings on the right?
Hello,
1. Unfortunately, you can not show the subtitle on the blocks.
2.No, you can’t move the subtitle here -> https://i.imgur.com/CiTJFbJ.png. Only on the single post template can you move it.
Thank you!
Can you add it to your improvement list? Or is it possible to do it manually with a child theme?
