Is from W3Total cache, this is in conflict with view counter. Disable it and should work.

The issue with view counter is a general issue here on WordPress when you use a cache plugin. That cache plugin W3 Total Cache cache the page and the view counter stop to increment and the last 7 days popular posts work with views counter.
If you want the views counter and last 7 days popular posts to work normally you have to disable the W3 Total cache plugin.
We have in mind for future update to make a solution that update the view counter with ajax. This should work with Cache to.
