I was wondering whether it’s possible to have a block of posts that would always show latest posts, despite Unique posts setting being on. Like the News ticker does it.
Could that be done? With a widget or something perhaps? Or would I need to build a custom block?

Hi,
The latest articles block, will always display the latest articles, but if the settings for Unique articles is enable, this will be apply on all blocks from that page. Maybe you can do a custom code or blocks that is not affected by this filter, but I’m not sure of this, also is a custom services, if you want you can make a request here -> https://tagdiv.com/web-development-services/
