I have had this problem for a while, images will not load in Lightbox, but the featured images almost always do. and once in a while, a couple of photos will load in the lightbox carrousel. I found a couple of fixes in other forums, but those fixes were unhelpful. I am at a loss of how to figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it.

I see that you use Autoptimize. Can you try going to Autoptimize’s settings page, unchecking the box to ‘Optimize JavaScript Code,’ then check and see if you still have the issue?
Also, do you use a plugin for the gallery? You can also try to exclude also, this file from Autoptimize wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js

I just started using Autoptimize, the problem existed before I started using it. I still tried what you suggested. then clear all caches. The issue is still there. I have run out of places to look for the issue.

Wp Super Cache, I followed the tutorial in the support section of this site. Yes, I added that file to be excluded. cleared everything. I turned JS optimization completely off, and cleared everything. reloaded. no fix.
