Hi, Since the most recent Newsmag and WordPress updates I have found that the Lightbox slider in the block editor is greyed out. The carousel seems to work by default on all posts but it is impossible to expand an image by clicking—a click just moves to the next image.
I am not sure whether this is a theme problem or whether it is something to do with the latest WordPress update. However, it is frustrating and I am receiving complaints from the readers of my blog (www.macfilos.com) about this function. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Hi Mixalis, I think that there is a miss understanding, our Lightbox do not had a zoom/expand option is only open the image on full size in a popup and you can view the next and prev images.
Right now I see that the option is working correctly.
Maybe you had some more options form other plugins that do the expand.

Hello, we are seeing the same issue. I am able to “re-enable” it but it requires finding and replacing the same image over and over. It’s tedious since we had to migrate many posts from a different site.
Hi ntca, what method did you use for theme update ? did you made a backup? because is possible that if you used the automatic update to interfere other plugins with the theme options during the theme update.
If you have a backup and you want, please make a test and update the theme manually via FTP/cPanel.

Hi, normal the automatic update was working ok in our tests, but there were some users that, as you had some problems after the theme update, but those how use the manual theme update didn’t say anything about this, therefore is possible that the manual update to be better, is not done only with two clicks, but in most cases the results are better.
You can try this with the next theme update, make a full backup and try on subdomain both theme updates options. Also hope that for the coming update, if there are some problems with the automatic update to be solved.
