I have 2 questions:
1)
I really need to sort out my posts by popularity. I know I can choose in the settings for blocks or page: Most Popular.
However, the counter is increased every time I refresh the page. I am afraid some of my users will just click and click so that their article can appear first on the list.
So my question: is there a simple way to restrict the post view counter increase by IP address?
2)
The default order categories pages is by Latest. How can I change the setting so that the default would be Most popular?

1. Sorry but our theme has no way of limiting the post view counter. The counter is a simple hit count. If a refresh is made, then a hit is registered.
2. The category pages do not have any sorting options. They come from WordPress and it is the default implementation of WP. You can maybe find plugins that can change the sorting options on categories.

Ok for my question 1, I understand.
But for my question 2, you do have have a filter on the category pages. I can choose to make it appear or not appear on the Theme panel (CATEGORY PULL-DOWN FILTER – This setting controls the display of the category pull-down filter)
The default setting for this filter is on Latest. My question is can I modify the default to one of the other settings that included in the filter options (for example Most Popular)?

Unfortunately it is not as simple as it sounds. It rarely is. It is no simple task and there is no simple solution I can provide in this regard.
