Limit the amount of articles on category page?

Hello,

When i click on a category page it shows all the articles under that category with no ‘next’ button.

This means the page is extremely long and increases server time. How can i limit the amount of articles shown on 1 page of a category page and add a ‘next button’.

I’ve checked the themes panel and can’t find any information about this?

Go in the admin panel and then Settings and Reading Settings and look for “Blog pages show at most” and change it to how many post you want on a category page…

Good idea to visit and explore all the settings panels in the main WordPress “settings” section as these control the main WordPress install – the theme is just the icing on the cake, but you still need to check the other ingredients. The documentation on the WordPress site is super helpful in explaining what each section of the settings panel is actually for, and good thing to bookmark:
