How to make links from the article open in a new tab

Links in the post content can be set to open in a new tab, this is a setting provided by WordPress – http://prntscr.com/mjh82h – http://prntscr.com/mjh8gs
The theme does not have a setting to set the links you create in the post content to open in a new tab.

Thank you, but I’m using WordPress version 4.9, so this method does not suit me. Can you still tell me whether it is possible to somehow close external links that are in the article, in the theme settings?
That is available in any WordPress version – http://prntscr.com/mjwb0y as a feature of the editor. Regardless of using the classic editor or the Gutenberg editor the option will be there

From the theme side there is no way to make the links in the post content open in a new tab. The option I mentioned when used will add the target blank property to the links you want, which the theme cannot do. There could be plugins that can do it for specific links.
