Links in the sub footer

Hi there,

Can you please tell me how I can add a hyper link ie. < a href=”http://www.examle.com”>Example page in the sub footer section?

I added this text in the copyright section of the themes customization panel and it is appearing, but when i click on it, it points to http://www.siteitson.com/”www.example.com&#8221;

I would also like this link to open in a new tab.

This is the code I’ve used there: echo $tds_footer_copyright . '<a class="custom_link" target="_blank" href="http://www.google.com">Google.com</a>'; – http://screencast.com/t/CB7brcYuH
