Links to pages in grids

I would like to know if it is possible to put anything else in the grid boxes other than posts such as images that will link to internal pages.

If this is not possible then can I edit what clicking the posts links to in those specific grid boxes. I would like them to link to category pages.

Thanks

Hi,

There are dedicated elements for images, blocks and grids are meant for posts

Some of the image elements have the options to set a custom link for the images used. For example the title over image

So you could use image elements with custom link options, blocks and grids will always display post thumbnails which will lead to the post. That is their intended functionality.

Thanks

Hello,

I followed the steps you suggested which has worked fairly well but I am still having problems with the links.

I am supposing I could copy and paste the desired page in the url box but the website is not live yet and I’m not sure what the final url will be.

It is frustrating since adding these links is very simple on the basic editor – even to tagdiv code – but the tagdiv editor will soon delete the customization.

Thanks

What do you mean that the tagdiv editor will remove the customization? I;m not sure i;m following. DO your settings get removed after setting up the block elements?

Thanks

For example, if I add a link to any element on the page using the regular editor, I would get a warning as soon as I enter the tagdiv editor saying that there are some features on the page not added with tagdiv (I can’t log in right now so don’t know the exact wording).

Once that happens, whatever links I have added will disappear as soon as I exit the editor. They will last as long as I don’t enter the tagdiv editor.

I find it easier to link to my other pages with the standard editor but, so far, it seems I have to choose between standard or tagdiv.

Again, I would send a screenshot but my login is having problems.

Thanks

Hi,

The warning is normal if you make edits to the page outside the composer. What element are you trying to link? please provide an example of the back-end or provide admin credentials via email at contact@tagdiv.com if you want us to take a look and run a quick test on your site.

Thank you!

I am trying to link some headings and images to other pages on my site. Hate to compound more things but I also would like to know if it is possible to link to any category pages? I thought using categories would be easier than pages but they don’t seem to be an option when I try to link elements.

I added the headings and images using tagdiv elements ‘title over image’, ‘inline text’, and ‘title’.

I’m sorry but I’m quite new to this and don’t know how to provide an example of the back-end. Which admin credentials would you need to test the site?

Thanks

If you want us to take a look, please contact us via email and provide a username and password so we can access your site back-end, where we can edit your page in the tagdiv composer and test the links and see why they will not work properly.

Thank you!
