Is there a way I can put links to the privacy policy and copyright pages in the footer?

Yes, you can. Create a menu and add the pages you want to appear in the footer in it in Appearance>Menus. Then assign it to the footer and save. It will appear on the right side of the sub footer like this for example http://prntscr.com/i987qn

Got it.It wasnt showing up because my color scheme was messed up.
