I followed the instructions in this guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-set-the-avatar/ – and installed the Simple Local Avatar plugin, but the image does not appear in the author box at the bottom of the articles or on the author page.
Is it a theme or plugin problem?
Simple Local Avatar has worked on our site for many many years now without issue.
I installed the plugin yesterday and it doesn’t seem to have any effect.
The image, once uploaded to the user profile, is not visible either inside the backend (where it doesn’t appear) or in the frontend (in the author box or on the profile page).

I’ve tested on my end and this plugin works well.
Did you set up the avatar when you edit the user in dashboard ?
Make sure you have the shortcode called “Author Image” on the author page in the tagdiv composer. Also, that you set up the image for the author in order to show.
Make a test and deactivate all plugins except tagDiv ones. Also, if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache, and try again.

I found the problem. A plugin that disabled comments on the site also blocked avatars. Thanks for your support
