The register and log in option takes new users wishing to register with my news site to the WordPress Dashboard.
Is this how it’s supposed to be? I don’t want that.
I want them to register on my website to be able to comment, but stay on the website and not have access to the dashboard in any way.
How does it work?

Our theme uses the default wordpress login. It does not change functionality. If you do not want the registered user to be able to access the back-end, you can maybe find a solution online or a plugin that has this option. I understand. On your showcase,one of the websites has just what I need. The website is: http://aquaticmag.com/ and when you log in, it takes you to the member area, where you can edit your profile etc.
Also, the registration form is more detailed. How can I get that?
Do you know if they are using your plugins and theme only or if they are using external plug ins?
Do you recommend any that work with your theme?

I think that is the userpro plugin. Unfortunately this is not tested but you can give it a try.
There are a number of plugins out there you can try if this one does not work.
