There’s an issue with the modal login whereby it allows users to create usernames with space in them, which isn’t good and breaks the password reset email link.
Also when requesting a password reset the message says “check your index, spam folder” – should be Inbox not Index surely?
Thanks Bogdan, but is there anything I can do right now? Non-technical users like to put spaces in usernames and it causing an issue because the automatic emails sent to create password don’t work with spaces!

I have just tested this and the name got encoded properly. Even with spacing, the email was correctly sent and I could get the password.
There could be something wrong on your end. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and test this issue.

Hi Bogdan, so you did this via the login modal, created a new account, created a username with a space in it and it worked? How odd.
My site is very active right now so I’m reluctant to do much more in the way of changes unless I know it will fix this issue. Is there anything I can look at?

Once the password set, I can login without issues.
I cannot recreate the issue on our end. There must be something else affecting the functionality on your end.

Thanks for the help Bogdan – it’s an issue with the HTML formatter for emails that is causing the link to break.
The other issue still needs sorting though, in your next update – the message displayed says to “check Index, spam/junk” – Index should be Inbox!

Our theme does not change the emails sent by wp so it is the default WP email sent, unchanged by any theme code.
We will change the ‘index’ to ‘inbox’ in the new theme update.

Hi Bogdan, yes I realise that – I meant that I have a plugin that makes nicely formatted HTML emails and it’s that which is causing the issue.
Great that you can update the text in the next update. LOVE TagDiv – already have 5 licenses of Newspaper!
