Is there any way to incorporate the functionality into the main navigation to be able to remove the top header menu otherwise this functionality is lost if simply turned off?

Just to add – this would mean adding a “log in” link that starts showing “Welcome John Doe” text with profile photo after login is complete.

Unfortunately this can be done only with custom modifications, but we have it on our list and we try to find a better implementation for sign in/register widgets in a future update.
