There has been a couple of notes about the logo not filling the header box (Header styles 9/10/11). Regardless of the size of the logo jpeg the displayed logo leaves an offset of 70px on each side displaying the background color of the header. It can be seen in our development site. This seems to be embedded in the class td-logo but I cannot see where. Is there a css fix that will take the logo out to the limits of the box for style 9/10/11?
Hello,
The logo was not meant to do that. The theme was not built with a full width logo in mind.
You can try to upload a bigger logo. The size of the current one you have set is 1024px and the container is 1164px wide.
Here is an example from another site using a full logo like yours: http://screencast.com/t/sLT9OIUnglc. That one fits without margins. Try 1200×180 size on your logo and see how it goes
Thank you!
Hi:
Thank you for the quick reply. The problem seems to be that on the upload of the image as a logo within Newspaper what was once a 1200×160 pixel image is reduced to 1024×136. I have tried several sizes including the 1200×160 but for all those over 1024 they get reduced (reformatted) in the Logo and Favicon upload to 1024 width. Our operation site at http://lagoonpondassoc.org is based on the free WordPress theme TwentyFourteen. We would like to have something similar if possible. In addition, each time the header is loaded a random selection is made from a set of images. Perhaps we wont get there but that is how it is now.
So, can we defeat the reformatting in the upload and would that defeat a bunch of other css formatting rules? Or is there some other way to get the side to side image?
Regards.
Hello,
I have tried to recreate this on my end but could not recreate your issue.

I used a 1200×180 test logo and it fills the header container (1164px) on all 3 styles with full logo.
Please check if you have any modifications to the header container. You can also try this without any plugins active (except visual composer) to rule out a plugin conflict.
If the problem is still there provide a link to your website so we can take a look and come up with a solution.
Thank you!
