Logo size and transparent background

Question: I’m trying to get my logo sized just like the one on the Fashion style. How do I do that? What size do I use and how to I override the sizes in the theme panel?

Also, I’m uploading a logo with a transparent background but it’s showing a white background. What do I need to do?

the logo of fashion style is: 600 pixel width , 200 pixel height

if the logo is transparent then it will show the background color behind it.

I was using that header and uploading a transparent .gif background. When I saved it as a .png (same file) it now shows as a transparent background. Strange. So do I use a logo that’s 1200 x 400 for the Retina logo upload?
