I attempted to update from version 9.5 to version 9.6.1 this morning, via the Envato Market plug-in/automatic update method. The update was “successful”, but when I went to view my page I had lost all the formatting on pages created with the TagDivi page builder. Is there also an update to that pug-in that needs to be updated, and does that need to be downloaded separately somewhere? Please advise. I was able to roll back my site to theme version 9.5 in the meantime.
Hi,
Please follow our documentation for How to Update the Newspaper Theme for WordPress -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
After theme update please check the theme plugins to be updated and activate in specially tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud Library if you are using elements from cloud -> https://www.screencast.com/t/aNq9x55w
Thank you!
So are you saying there was an update to the TagDiv Composer that could have caused this issue if it didn’t update? I don’t want to try reinstalling the theme unless you’re reasonably certain that the reason I had the problem was simply that the plug-on didn’t update.
I should add that I don’t have Cloud Library installed. The only theme-provided plug-in I’m using is the TagDiv Composer.
Hi,
If the home page look something like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xEbTy9xY thenn yes that was because you did not update/activate the tagDiv Composer.
Thank you!
OK yes that is what it looked like, so I suppose I need to reinstall the theme update, then immediately go into the plug-ins menu and update TagDiv composer. I was under the impression that the theme plug-ins would update automatically, along with the theme, by using the Envato Market plug-in to install the theme update.
Hi,
Unfortunately using the Envato Market plugin the tagDiv Composer will not be activate automatically, please try the FTP or WordPress update -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/ and also check the theme plugins to be updated and activate.
Thank you!
