I’ve recently updated to version 8.8 and imported one of the multipurpose demos. So far so good…
After i changed some of the pages with my info, i tried importing some demo sections from the cloud and the import process hangs. I received the following error in console:
js_files_for_wp_admin.min.js?ver=dee196c4efff2c8bf5c2ff4c4b4e736e:137 [Vue warn]: Error in nextTick: “InvalidCharacterError: Failed to execute ‘btoa’ on ‘Window’: The string to be encoded contains characters outside of the Latin1 range.”
This happens only on pages i’ve edited and added info and not on empty pages.
I then tried importing the section on an empty page. I saved the row and tried importing it to the page i want. On the editor preview it shows, but on the actual page it is as if it does not exist.
Please help
Hello Simion.
The only “special” characters i’ve used is greek text within the page elements.
I’ve tried using firefox, i get the following when trying to select an element to edit:
changeData Error: Element model id is not in $draggedElement data!
_getSourceCol Error: The column model id not in data!
changeData Error: Element model id is not in $draggedElement data!
_getSourceCol Error: The column model id not in data!
Hi,
We could take a look as well. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access. Mention what were the actions you made step by step, and at what point did the error appear. If this is not happening on all pages, it must be specific those pages, be sure to mention which pages you are referring to.
Please include a link tot his topic in the email.
Thanks
I’m having the same issue, if I add a raw HTML or image or pretty much move things around i get this Red error at the top
changeData Error: Element model id is not in $draggedElement data!
and it freeze on me and I have to exit without a save. I tried many times without any progress. not sure what to do
The problem with the tagdiv composer is that it won’t accept any non-latin characters. What that means?
If you are using Greek / Russian text in elements created with the composer, it will throw lot’s of errors and you can’t do anything about it.
Uncaught DOMException: Failed to execute 'btoa' on 'Window': The string to be encoded contains characters outside of the Latin1 range
My question to tagdiv: Are you planning to fix this issue? Should we just switch to JS Composer?
Thank you
@inje We are trying to identify how exactly you used Greek language characters leading to the problem, what were the exact steps you took before the problem began to appear.
Let’s continue the investigation by email. If we succeed in identifying the problem we will try to fix it.
@freeesmaster Do you also use language specific characters in that raw HTML element and the same problem is happening? What exactly are you entering in the HTML before the problem happens? Does it happens at all times and with all tagDiv composer elements?
Hi Simion,
so far, i tried adding an image element and when I click on element to add an image, it’s not clickable and does nothing. I can only click and modify the column and raw, but not the actual element. same for Raw HTML, i can’t click on element to add my HTML. i am just trying to paste the google adsense code, but i am unable to.
if I try to delete it, or move it to bin, or even just move it around, i get the red error on top
changeData Error: Element model id is not in $draggedElement data!
so I end up exiting the composer without saving so I don’t mess up my home page! I have everything up to date, even the theme is up to date. honestly, it started giving me problems after i upgraded the newspaper theme, before it was working flawlessly.
thanks!
Hi,
@freeesmaster We believe we identified the problem in the previous case, it seems to be related to saving row shortcodes and then placing them in pages
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ksZdwWJzKS
There will be problems in that case. If this is not the case for you, please send us admin login, FTP and cPanel if possible, at contact@tagdiv.com also include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks
@dumagroup I believe there is a reply by email, please check there.
Dear Simion C – facing a similar issue none of the pages are getting saved when using the Tdcomposer – the save the page continues to rotate but the page doesn’t get saved.
All other normal posts and pages are getting updated on my website candytech.in – I am not able to change anything on the homepage or the tagdiv pages
@Kanuj This topic may not be related to your problem. Try what is suggested in your other topic and let us know there.
@dumagroup Please specify this in the email conversation. My colleagues will keep investigating.
Some issues are hard to investigate and some rare situations cannot be solved at all.
