Lots of stuff is missing from FORMAT menu

Hey

Does anyone know is it new wordpress update or it’s new newspaper update (I suspect the latter) which removed lots of formatting options from formatting menu in visual editor?

Previously I was able to do that within few clicks via FORMAT menu:

But now this format menu is empty, lots of blocks stuff is missing:

At the moment I do all that formatting stuff now manually via code, but it’s annoying, and other authors can’t do that, previously all you needed to do is select text and via format menu you were able to choose formatting you needed. Why it’s missing now?

Since this is Newspaper css classes and stuff, I think it was last newspaper update which removed these formatting settings from menu. But why? Can you guys add it back?

Hi,

There were no changes made to any formatting options. They are the same as before

There is no reason to remove the formatting options. Maybe you are using a plugin such in this topic
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-formats-button-does-not-exist-on-the-text-optimization-features/
In a default theme install and using only theme plugins, the formats menu is displaying correctly.

Thanks. Looks like I remembered it wrong way, that it was actually “formats” not “format” and with some update the first one disappeared, but found it now and added it back. Thanks.
