I am having conflict problems with the popular MailPoet plugin and it looks like Newspaper is the culprit! MailPoet provides a debugging console and it has picked up conflicts with a number of Newspaper files:

includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/js/tooltip.js?ver=8.0
includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/js/tdConfirm.js?ver=8.0
I guess these things happen – but is there anything I can do about it?!

Maybe that plugin is simply incompatible with the theme in some level. Or it could be a setting of the plugin configuration that is causing it. You could try to search for similar issue with it, or maybe search the plugins support forum and also ask the plugin developers for advice.

I have reported the issue to MailPoet. I hope this conflict can be fixed. Newspaper is one of the best selling themes and Mailpoet is probably the best newsletter plugin. It’s crazy that the 2 are now incompatible!

I spoke to MailPoet and this was their response:
Get in touch with this theme’s author and ask him to stop enqueuing his scripts on all WordPress Dashboard pages. This is his fault and he needs to fix that.
I am not qualified to comment – but I hope we can get this fixed for the sake of everyone.

I cannot promise anything. I believe nothing like this is planed to be addressed any time soon. There are other priorities at the moment. These scripts are loaded for a reason, to insure the functionality of the theme. If this plugin conflicts with the theme and you cannot use it properly, I am sure there are other plugins that you can use.

This is a never ending story. Plugin developers blame Theme’s developers and viceversa. Too bad for a premium theme and a such expensive plugin like Mail Poet. When you have been using the same theme and the same plugin for years and things suddenly stop working as they should, it is not as simple as changing either the theme or the plugin. There is an infrastructure created around them and rebuilding that costs time and money.

Please understand that the Mail Poet plugin has not bee tested with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Please keep in mind that we cannot provide support for untested plugins, sorry!
