Hi,
Instead of the custom home page, i decided to use the traditional latest blog posts as the home page.
Two things:
1. Currently it’s using Module 6 but I have a custom Mobule 10 and I wanted to use this instead but it’s not avialable in thet theme panel blog post template settings.
2. Also, is it possible to remove the sidebar manually? doing it through the theme panel affects the individual posts pages as well/.

The best way to do this is to create a custom home page like the latest blog post using page builder. This way you will be able to select your custom module no 10 and remove the sidebar http://screencast.com/t/gy8AqRGykm

I understand, you can chose which way you want if you want that the site to be faster you can try to modify the code as you like but we can’t help you on that.
