Unfortunately, this is not possible in this case. When the background is set it on your theme, the layout will be switched in boxed mode. This is the main functionality of the theme and it cannot be changed very easy. If you want to change this functionality, you will have to edit the js file of our theme and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

What about just for the main menu? Is there not some custom css I could drop in to the custom code section?

Please keep in mind that this type of functionality has been custom designed and uses some CSS combined with JavaScript. To change this behaviour it is necessary doing to some customizations through the code but please notice that we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

In a future update, it is possible but we cannot say for sure if it will get done in the next update because we have a big list of fixes, improvements, and suggestions to implement. It’s hard to filter them and select which one gets implemented now and which one gets postponed. The developers decide if it gets done or not, though.
