Main menu style, Category colors on blocks/modules

Hi Team

I am setting up the theme and had a couple queries.

1. I am using header style 6 which gives the option to have a menu background. I have set the color of the menu background but there is an issue when the page loads as it should the default black before showing the correct color.

You can see what I mean here… http://g.recordit.co/PXb4gUtcQ8.gif

2. How do I get the category tags to show their assigned colors on Modules/Blocks, instead of the default black? I have set the colors in the admin and have read the article, but seems this is not mentioned. Please see this link for an illustration https://goo.gl/lzFHSd

Many thanks
Jason

Hi,

1. That should not happen since the custom color change made through the theme panel – https://www.screencast.com/t/3VaaynWKsGF overrides the default one – https://www.screencast.com/t/Ehs23Ot7OeDG Try clearing your cache after you make then change to the menu. I can not view the attached link – https://www.screencast.com/t/A4p04T3dr

2. The color set for the category tags is for the post pages – https://www.screencast.com/t/JpYmujN0 If you want to change it on modules you can use some css – https://www.screencast.com/t/IuWRbfIuHBDG
Here is a link to the browser inspector tool to help you identify the elements on the page and their classes and create custom code – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Thanks

Hi Simion, thank you for the update. I have cleared cache and that seems to have resolved the issue.

Regarding the css solution you have suggested https://www.screencast.com/t/IuWRbfIuHBDG I wanted something that would make this consistent with the colors for category tags on pages. So on modules, the tag would be the same color as for the category page.

This means that the tags on the module would be directly related to each category color, instead of all having the same color.

Is there a solution to achieve this?

Thanks

Hi,

Unfortunately the theme has no setting for this. If you want to have the category tags on modules to inherit the color set on post pages, you will have to modify the theme’s files and this would require coding knowledge. This is where the modules get the category tags – https://www.screencast.com/t/YyAM8xyv and this is for the post page – https://www.screencast.com/t/iDz4cPP2zvsl But this could not be an easy task, and I suggest hiring a freelancer/developers to help you achieve this because we can not provide custom work at the moment, sorry.

Thank you for understanding!
