1. I guess that you use default footer template – http://screencast.com/t/pVyQ3bgDmSa so the block added there is by default and you can change the number of articles in footer 2 section you have to make this change in the code: http://screencast.com/t/0FvHJri9VYpp
If you want to add your own widgets there please use another footer template for example – http://screencast.com/t/tUhzIrRZKQ and add widgets in footer area: http://screencast.com/t/TTSSJlKmqC
2. Please provide more details about the design of main menu. You have this option for color in Theme Panel – http://screencast.com/t/Enm3lrQuV0jt and also for fonts – http://screencast.com/t/5VeQ1J7y
3. If you want to use the same sidebar on your post please create(if you want a custom sidebar) or set it from here – http://screencast.com/t/86AZ6kYcQe and add widgets to it from Appearance > Widgets section.
