Make Flex Block 3 page responsive

Hi – I have created a homepage – http://jazzreview.co.uk – using Flex Block 3 which looks great on desktop and mobile but on tablet landscape the columns lengths change and on tablet portrait column lengths and header menu break. How do I solve this? Happy to have tablet portrait go to mobile format and menu (how do I set for that?) but tablet landscape would like columns to retain equal lengths. Thanks

Hi,

I cannot access your website because I do not have any password, sorry! Please provide it and also, some useful screenshots with your problem so I can identify it closer.

Thanks for the message!

Many thanks, Catalin – password protect now disabled, please try again and try resizing. I cannot attach screenshots here, can I?

Hi,

You need to use the Jing online tool if you want to add some screenshots. Also, I have inspected your website on mobile and it seems to be responsive. All the blocks are correctly displayed. Where is the problem? -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cKv7cN06

Thanks.

Yes, it looks great on desktop and mobile. But if you resize your desktop browser to tablet, portrait or landscape, the column lengths become uneven. Now I have just tested it on an iPad and worse, the headings and some excerpt text now overlays the images. Thanks

I have now worked around this rendering problem on tablet by adjusting margin for tablet portrait and landscape under the CSS tab – is this the default way to get your columns equal? That’s ok if so, but please advise if there is another method.

However, I am still seeing header and text moving up and overlaying image on the iPad. This problem does not occur when resizing desktop browser to tab size. Can you explain/resolve this iPad problem? Do you have a tablet you could test http://jazzreview.co.uk and tell me if you see header and text overlaying image?

Thanks again – your help is invaluable. This is a test site I want to launch to another url on Thursday.

Hi,

I have checked your website on tablet and that’s the default theme’s behavior as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/t0uIdD6oXif What should you want to be displayed?

Thanks.

Thanks, Catalin for your tablet shot – is that actually from a tablet or from tablet view on desktop? My problem is that on the iPad the header text and some excerpt has moved into the image. I should say the iPad is an iPad 2 (from 2011) running iOS 9.3.5 – could that be a factor?

Hi,

Yes, this could be a problem, the kind of ios version. Try to update it or change it to another newer device and check the results. Until now, we do not encounter any problems.

Thanks.

Thanks – can you give me any CSS code to solve this problem? (For iPad 2 from 2011, running iOS 9.3 – a lot of our readers may have older devices.)

Here is a shot of what I am seeing:

There should be no heading or text over any image. It should look like this:

Hi,

Unfortunately, we cannot replicate this issue to our devices because we do not have iPad 2 with such an old iOS, sorry! This task involves doing such a custom modification only for your devices and you need to do it yourself through creating your own custom CSS code, using the Inspector Browser from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Thanks for your understanding!

Ok, Catalin, understood, thanks.
