Unfortunately Newspaper Theme does not have this option but you could look for a plugin that offers this option.

What a shame :-/
I guess a lot of your customers could use this little nice feature.
And as yu already have control over the viweing numbers of the posts, then it shouldn’t be that hard for you to add in a coming release.
