Making Hero Image Full Width Across Screen

Is it possible to make the Hero Image full width across a large screen like this one on this site: https://www.myjewishlearning.com/article/why-the-mishnah-is-the-best-jewish-book-youve-never-read/

My theme is in a container but I wonder if it’s possible to make the Hero Image only break out from the container and go side to side, or can I have two columns in my articles without a border?

So, in rethinking the design, would it be possible for the top image of each article be a Hero Image like the copy of the Mishnah in the above-cited blog? I know, I have Newspaper, they use something else. Just wondering if this might be possible in Newspaper for an article like this?

Thank you.

Hello!

Yes, it is possible. You can split the row in 2 columns and change the border from the CSS tab. Make sure it is not a header style of block. We have some settings for the rows and different stretch sizes: https://www.screencast.com/t/bsbB5P97A
If you need a different image in every article, then I suggest changing the featured image width.

Thank you!

Thank you so much! Where are the CSS classes? I’ll look, but if you have an article handy, thank you!

Hi,
If you are referring to theme classes, then there is a lot in our theme and we do not recommend editing them.
What you can do is make your own css and apply it to those classes – https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thank you!

Hi. Which row do I want to split in two columns? I don’t understand which would split the container? Thank you.

Hi,
To split the row into 2 columns, just select in tagDiv Composer the row and in the general tab choose a layout – https://i.imgur.com/GtQJApu.png
