Is there a way to have a block where it generates content based on a media category filter? For example, I have editorial cartoons and I would like to have a gallery that is automatically populated if I categorize those media files under the media category Editorial Cartoons. I have it set up now and the media category is #82. But when I set the filter on the Slider element block nothing appears.

I have checked your link and did not found any slider like you said, please make sure that you set it properly, just set your category in slider settings – http://screencast.com/t/fObKO3cwi and make sure that you have more then 1 post to that specific category.
