Hi,
another thing that is annoying me, I don’t know if it’s my fault or not but I find the behavor of the mega menu while converted in mobile version very strange :

I have a category with 4 sub categories, and I want to display them, so I choose the parent category to be mega menu, It works like a charm on full width version, I can see all the sub categories and navigate in them with all the links and thumbnails.

But when my menu is converted into mobile version I see only the parent category and not the child categories, I don’t understand the logic here… why do we have something different from full width to mobile ?

is there a way to display the sub categories also on mobile menu without changing the full width menu ?

thank you

Hi,

The menu loaded on mobile screens it’s different in appearance and functionality from the one used for the tablets and desktop screens so the mega menu dose not work on mobiles. In order to have an category with it’s subcategories you will have to add them like this: http://screencast.com/t/y9FnwtA0g which will be displayed like this in the mobile menu: http://screencast.com/t/lh5kwtedaaUP
If you decide to use the mega-menu to display a category with subcategories you will not have the subcategories displayed in the mobile menu.
A workaround would be to add the category twice in the menu from appearance > menus, once to display the subcategories as a mega menu and once to to add the subcategories as sub-items then use custom css to hide one on desktop/tablets and the other on mobiles.
Sorry about the inconvenience.
Hope this helps!

Thanks
