Hi, first sign something was wrong was the entire site including WordPress toolbar displaying in Italics.
Website is https://capsulenz.com/
I noticed an update needed for Newspaper theme in 10.3.5 and completed that. tagdiv composer plugin did not complete and showed as an ajax error. As per recommendation I then loaded the plugin manually.
The site layout settings I slaved over appear to be gone!
-The site logos are all gone
-The colour and font settings have all reverted back to ‘default’ from what I had them set to
-All the fonts were in italics
-Blocks that did fit four articles in a row are now pushing one article over to form a new line
In addition:
– Megamenu display has different fonts and colours, it used to look like this https://gyazo.com/a2c6b1b7f7664e257a61a7c2a42f4959
Notice the THINK BE DO COVET text all the same
it now looks like this, random fonts and colours and it does not sit correctly on the page https://gyazo.com/a1261e0470988d2db05a4a16e1309a0c
-Mobile mega menu has no dropdowns showing when you click on a parent
This is just the issues I’ve found so far ….
What is the best next step for me now. Do I roll back to a backup and hope the update doesn’t break the site again?
Most importantly, how do I avoid my site completely breaking again at future updates.
Thank you

Hi,
I just inspected this problem and is look that the italic is not coming from the them -> https://i.imgur.com/Xv9iTDE.png this code is inherited.
Make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi, the plugins weren’t the problem.
As per all of the other issues, the update has essentially just wiped all my settings.
I have rolled back to an earlier backup and now would like to understand how I can safely update the theme without it breaking the site.
Thanks, Louisa
