Mega Menu = Headings? And h1 for Homepage?

Hello dear TagDiv support,

I’ve recognized that every post displayed inside the mega menu is declared as heading; so in fact, every other post and page I’m on, is showing those trillion headings above the real headings. Isn’t it bad for SEO, especially if you have landing pages optimized for a specific topic? I’ve checked other very popular sites with really good rankings and realized that posts inside the mega menus aren’t declared as headings there. I’m not sure though, if it really has a bigger impact because Google might find out that this isn’t belonging to the post-content.

Another thing is that the blank homepage option is not having a h1-title, even if the page itself has a title (which you just wanted to hide)? If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that already.

Thanks.

Hi,

1. I am investigating the header titles in menu issue.

2. use the text block from the pagebuilder to add h1 or use the page with title template.

The mega menu titles are still a H3 heading. How can I fix it? So I have everytime duplicate titles on my homepage, which is not good for the SEO.

Hi

We added a h1 tag on the logo so you don’t have to use duplicate tiles: http://screencast.com/t/hX5hWrVpcUT The h1 tag is now present by default on pages and it’s not required for post tiles displayed in mega menu.

Thanks!
