Hello,
I have a mega menu taht shows the sub menus with the “featured images” as it should be displayed. But I also see a list of the same submenus as only one line links directly underneath the “featured images”. I wish I could attache a screenshot to show you.

I think I understand the issue. You are probably adding sub-menus to the mega menu element. Please check this post as I assume you face the same situation:
