Menamenu submenu is too far to the left – how to fix?

Hi,

my Newspaper themed website is at De Veldhovenaar and I have a screenshot for you to look at here: Screenshot for the error in the megamenu

The submenu div of the megamenu is way too far to the left. This you can clearly see on the screenshot.

What I tried:

  • downloaded the menu from the cloud again and replaced – the problem is there right out of the box, befre I even made adjustments
  • inspected the element(s) in the developer mode of both Chrome and Safari, multiple times and tried to figure out which of the divs or classes are the culprit
  • tried to add a adjust classes/divs in the tagdivcomposer for the megamenu. Padding doesn’t work, margins don’t work
  • I really think it looks awful like this and I know it can work. Just have no idea why this is happening.

    Please help me fix this!

    UPDATE:

I tried a couple more things in the settings and came up with this:

    Container width – 1166px
    Content width – 100%
    Height – auto
    Padding – 22
    Offset – 0
    Position – Relative to screen
    Horizontal align – center

And now it looks okay – in MY browser, Chrome on a MacBook.

Was this this the right way to achieve it in Newspaper theme? Surely more people will have this problem. This works for me now. Hopefully it will display nicely in other browsers and on other (bigger, smaller, other operating system) computers.

    Hello!

I’m glad you have managed to solve the issue.
The settings you did seems to be ok because they are the settings from the element I hope which are tested.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Have a nice day!
