Is there a way to do multi column menu without using mega menu?
I don’t want the submenus to look simple without the pictures and mega menu template.

You could use a page mega-menu and make some custom menus there, as we did in this example from our demo: http://screencast.com/t/QpIB4p9G Please check this link for more details about mega menu pages: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-menu/ Basically all content added with Visual Composer will be displayed in mega menu. You can use wordpress custom menu widget which is available in Visual Composer: http://screencast.com/t/42xQR16E
