I use theme base on “SayWhat” demo and I try to enable meta info to showing author on block
It still not appears can you help me

Sorry if I am asking a stupid question. I am trying to follow your instructions above, but the file demo_style.css opens in a browser (safari). How can I edit it?

You can edit it with a text editor such as notepad++ (free)
