Meta titles & Open Graph issue
I am having an issue where when sending my website link in a text ( iMessage ) the title is showing incorrectly. It simply shows at the page name in WordPress no matter what I change in seo settings
I have tried Yoast & Rank Math and I believe it’s a confusion between the SEO plugin and my themes ( plural as I’m having the same issue on two sites )
For example: when I go to the page in the browser it shows it correctly as I have it set
Page title – Website name
But when I send it in a message I only get
Page title. And nothing I change seems to alter that.
Seems the seo and theme are canceling out or something is forcing a random title tag
Any ideas?

Please provide a link to your website in order to inspect and see what can be done. If you are using SEO Yoast normally it should override our meta description.

I switched back to rank math as it provides a little more on the non paid version.
But both cause this issue.
Where it just shows the web page name ( for example “home” ) when sending in a text message vs anything that was inputted into rank math ( or yoast ) or tagdiv settings

Can you try this issue using another theme ? This may be from the plugin not from the theme.
