Mixed content issue persists despite trying everything I can think of

Hi TagDiv,

I’ve got a test site in development here: httpswwwfarmaterverantwoording.site and am getting mixed content warnings. It seems to all an issue with media files, which are loading over http. I’ve had an SSL certificate since before I installed WordPress (let alone Newspaper), so not sure why this is happening in first place. To fix it, I’ve tried deleting and re-uploading images, tried Better Search and Replace, and installing both Really Simple SSL and Insecure Content Fixer with no luck. Not sure what else to try! Any ideas?

Thanks,
Kaitlin

Hello !

Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you !

Hi Vlad — try what again exactly? I have not been using a child theme or cache plugin, but in any case I’ve now deactivated all but the TagDiv plugins. I also deleted and tried re-uploading images that are being flagged on https://www.whynopadlock.com, but still have the mixed content issue. It seems to be a question of how the theme is processing/uploading images, not about any plugin.

If I look at the source code for this page for example: https://httpswwwfarmaterverantwoording.site/why/, you see it’s linking a background image that’s on http rather than https. That’s what I would need to fix? But I’m uploading those images from an https connection so not sure why that’s not reflected.
