So far I am loving this theme. It looks great! One thing I am trying to do though is to show 2 posts and 2 pages in the big slider. The big slider will be a static set of 4 ‘welcome’ blocks, 2 will go to posts explaining about the site, other 2 need to point to the forum and article pages.
I see that in Big Slider configuration we can set post type to include pages but how can this be filtered?
Ideally, I could just set post and page ids of what I would like to show.

Hi,
A simple way:
Create 4 new posts, add the featured images, set a tag GSP for all 4 posts.
Install Page Links To plugin, this will allow you to set an external link for each post, set the correct link for each post, 2 posts leave normal link, and another 2 posts set the link to your pages.
Set Big slider to filter by that tag GSP
