Mobile Live Search Formatting?

Hi Team,

How do we format the auto-populated results in the mobile search screen overlay? In the “general” and “CSS” tabs, it’s not possible to change the # of letters/words displaying for the title of the articles, nor change the font details. Thanks!

Hello,

You can change the excerpt for mobile live search from here -> https://i.imgur.com/WQLgFbT.png
To change the font and color for the mobile menu please go to Theme Panel -> Theme Colors -> Mobile menu/mobile search => https://www.screencast.com/t/0CvSgXp9H to set a background image go in Theme Panel -> Background -> Mobile menu/mobile search => https://www.screencast.com/t/uvDejzbX to change the font from Theme Fonts => https://www.screencast.com/t/ANBQe7hQhJd

Thanks, Anamaria,

For excerpts, there isn’t a mobile option (nor the one you pointed out “module mx2”). Three options are present: slider module, mega menu module and trending now module.

Everything else works, thank you!

Hi Megan,

Yes, it seems this option is enabled only when you have the tagDiv Standard pack plugin. A workaround is to use header live search and customize it for mobile.

Thank you!

Hi Anamaria,

I’m unable to activate that plug-in because it says, “The plugin is disabled because it is incompatible with this version of Newspaper.”

What do you mean by using the header live search and customizing it for mobile? The problem I’m having is that the mobile version is not mirroring the desktop version. For example, the desktop version includes only the image and title. The mobile version also includes the excerpt, the comment count, the date, and “read more” text.

Thanks
