The issue is caused by a setting from your cache plugin. Please let me know what cache plugin you use.
Also, you can try to disable the cache plugin, delete the object cache file https://i.imgur.com/y9Guy2F.png, and check after.

It is the caching plugin yes. However, I want to keep on using caching across the site. Can you tell me what JS file I would need to exclude from caching, please?

If you are using a cache plugin then you can choose from that plugin to exclude the tdbMenu.js from delay.

I tried that, but it didn’t work. I then saw there was another JS file called tdMenu.js and this was the one that needed to be excluded, and now I have caching and the mobile menu works.
