Hi,

We seem to have developed a problem with our main menu on mobile. It will not open. Also on our homepage the slide element at the top of the page has stopped working suddenly. Any help you can give is appreciated. You can view the site at http://www.icidici.com.

Hi,

I have checked your site and found this js errors in your console: http://screencast.com/t/B2o72MJfd which cause this problems. Please make sure you deactivate all plugins leaving just the Visual Composer plugin active then check again.
After you disable all of them enable it one by one to see which one is causing this.
Please let me know!

Thanks

Hi Lucian,

I disabled all the plugins as you requested and I still was showing the error. I have set up a temp site to see if I can replicate the error and I noticed something. When looking at the slide using inspect element there are a number of style elements that seem to be missing on my main site. The following is an example:
This is from the test site
<div class=”item” itemscope=”” itemtype=”http://schema.org/Article&#8221; style=”-webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; overflow: hidden; position: absolute; -webkit-transform: matrix(1, 0, 0, 1, 2800, 0); transform: matrix(1, 0, 0, 1, 2800, 0); width: 700px;”><div class=”slide-meta”><span class=”slide-meta-cat”>Uncategorized</span><span class=”slide-meta-author”><time itemprop=”dateCreated” class=”entry-date updated” datetime=”2014-11-18T16:05:56+00:00″>Nov 18, 2014</time><meta itemprop=”interactionCount” content=”UserComments:0″></span></div><div class=”td-sbig-title-wrap”><span class=”td-sbig-title”>test 2</span><span class=”td-sbig-sep”></span></div><meta itemprop=”author” content=”datashepherd”></div>

And this is from the main site
<div class=”item” itemscope=”” itemtype=”http://schema.org/Article”><div class=”thumb-wrap”></div><div class=”slide-meta”><span class=”slide-meta-cat”>Humanities</span><span class=”slide-meta-author”><time itemprop=”dateCreated” class=”entry-date updated” datetime=”2014-11-16T14:33:00+00:00″>Nov 16, 2014</time><meta itemprop=”interactionCount” content=”UserComments:0″></span></div><div class=”td-sbig-title-wrap”><span class=”td-sbig-title”>Faith & Reason at Westmister</span><span class=”td-sbig-sep”></span><span class=”td-sbig-title”>Books</span><span class=”td-sbig-sep”></span></div><meta itemprop=”author” content=”editor3″></div>

The main site seems to be missing the styling required for the slide to work. This is in addition to still having the js error. I’m at a loos on how to fix this the main site is to go live by the end of the week. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I have also noticed that lack of styling and suspected that it due to a plugin. Please make sure you deactivate all plugins leaving just Visual Composer active then empty cache and purge files then let me know and leave it that way so I can take a look.
Those console errors are most likely generated by a plugin as we haven’t had any issues of this type with the theme. You should also consider re-uploading the latest theme files via FTP if nothing helps: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/
Please let me know!

Thanks

Hi Lucian,

I have taken your suggestion and deactivated all the plugins except visual composer again today and cleared the cache however I still had the errors. I even re-uploaded the theme as per your instructions to no avail. I have again deactivated the plugins and left them off so you may have a look. I can grant you access to the backend if you need it. Email me at tammy at icidici.com (spelled out to prevent spam) and I will send you a user name and password. I am roughly 5 hours behind you so I can have the email sent to you by early afternoon your time. This site is technically live so I cannot leave the plugins turned off for an extended period of time. I have also used one of the homepage templates that can be located at http://www.icidici.com/temp-2/ but again the slide does not work. Thanks for your help.

Tammy

Hi Lucian,

The info you requested was sent to the contact@tagdiv.com email address earlier today. Please be advised that as this is a live site I will need to turn the plugins back on tomorrow (Nov 21) by 1pm your time. Hopefully you can find a resolution before then.

Thanks
Tammy

Unfortunately we haven’t managed to have a look at this.
I have replied via email also.

Sorry about this!

Thanks to the suggestion from Emil of turning off Cloudflare I have been able to fix the issue. Both the slider and mobile menu are now working. Thanks for all your help.
