Hello egypiana,
I also moved via this issue, and i found that its due to some plugins which were not supported in the latest WordPress.
So you need to deactivate all the plugins except Visual Composer and install the new template files. Then you will found the website will work perfectly. After that activate each plugin one by one by checking whether any errors occurring or not. You can easily spot the plugin which is causing this error easily.
Thanks!
Unfortunately the reason is Wp-rocket plugin
http://wp-rocket.me
this plugin is very important for me, can i find a solution???
egypiana – the issue is likely with WP Rocket – suggest you raise a ticket with them as well as follow up with Tagdiv team.
The recommended cache plugin to use with our theme is WP super cache. You can see a list of tested and recommended plugins here: http://screencast.com/t/nluVfBSs
Thank you!
Bogdan – are there any plans to test WP Rocket – it is a major caching plugin and i’m sure used by many sites. I know you’ll say speak to the WP Rocket team and I will be but until we can confirm it starts working with WP Rocket we won’t be upgrading.
Is there any official way to make suggestions for features or plugins to be tested?
Hi,
There is no official way of requesting it. I will add this request to our list and pass it on to the developer team. It will be their decision if this gets implemented or not. In most cases incompatibility between a plugin and the theme will require major changes of the theme code and this cannot be done so easy as you try to make one plugin compatible, another will break. the recommended cache plugin is wp super cache.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi;
We have found the reason
the issue it was in files:
/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.min.css
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/style.css
we have been placed this links in plugin option:
CSS files to exclude from minification:
after we do this our site worked properly
We recommend test Wp-Rocket with Newspaper theme, its the best cache plugin now
please check the results of wp-rocket with other cache plugins:
http://wpdevshed.com/best-wordpress-cache-plugin/
Sadly that’s not really a fix – just a temporary work-around. What you are essentially doing is by-passing all caching on those two CSS files and that will give a performance impact. Till the tagdiv team actually test and ensure that the theme works with WP Rocket this will only every be a workaround.
In order to have full compatibility the theme must be adapted to the plugin code and this will not be simple to do. I passed this information to the developer team but I cannot promise our theme will be adapted to work with wp-rocket. It will be the dev team’s decision. unfortunately we cannot change the theme code to adapt it to every plugin out there. That is why we have a recommended plugin for cache (wp super cache) This is the case with every premium theme. Some plugins work while other do not.
Thank you!
Hi,
We are having the very same issue with our website. Based on the above response I disabled my cache plugin and the issue disappeared.
You guys suggest WP Super Cache, but another very popular plugin the W3 Total cache is not supported? Is there any specific reason for this?
I’ve used this plugin for a few years now and I’m very familiar with its configuration. So switching from it would be quite a pain. Do you guys plan to support it sometime in the future or you will stick with the WP-SC plugin?
In your opinion, would WP Super Cache give a better performance for the NP theme than any other plugin? If yes, is this because you have designed NP to specifically work with Wp Super Cache?
Please let me know. Thanks.
Hi,
W3 total cache was the supported and recommended plugin to use with our theme until some time ago when it started creating all sort of problems for us. That is why we switched to wp super cache. We are not saying it;s the best caching plugin, but it;s the one that is tested to work 100% and not create issues. You can try out different ones if you wish but we cannot say for sure how they will work. The only tested one is Wp super cache.
Thank you!
I have a funny issue with mobile website version of articles displayed on low resolution (less than FullHD) on desktop browser (mac with safari/chrome and firefox).
I don’t use a cache plugin, I use nginx / redis full-page cache.
The mobile plugin might be a good idea but it currently creates many issues. I understand that you can’t test every possible server setup and all plugins, I am a still a little bit disappointed by this new feature.
I got this issue too. The new update v7 conflict with W3TC. Is there any solution to temporarily fix it?
Ok, after disabling W3 Total cache we started with WP Super Cache and the issue reappeared.
So we disabled that also and the issue still persists. This is turning out to be a major pain as we are unable to figure out what might be causing this….
If you had to venture a guess, what could be the most probable reason for this issue? Everything was working okay before upgrading the theme to 7.0 version.
Anything that can point us in a direction to investigate can help. Thanks.
Hello,
If you still have issues with this after you disabled all plugins except visual composer and cleared cache (and cdn) please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can inspect the issue and provide the proper solution.
Thank you!
Bogdan,
So, we have implemented a temporary fix – We have added a custom CSS to the theme panel which hides the mobile menu on the desktop site.
This is the code we added:
#td-mobile-nav, .td-search-wrap-mob, .td-visual-hidden {display : none;}
1st part hides the mobile navigation menu, 2nd part hides the mobile search box. and the 3rd part hides the text that is printed behind our logo.
The good news is the mobile version of the site is working very well, but unfortunately, the desktop version is distorted.
Now: I am going to implement the process you described and disable plugins and test it out. This will essentially break our site as some plugins are vital to the working, so we will do so in Maintenance mode and hope this doesn’t take too long as it will lead to traffic loss.
Hopefully, the CSS above will give you an idea where the mobile menu is coming from and help you get to the root of the issue.
If there is anything else you need, please let me know so that we can solve this problem soon.
Thank you.

Hello,
In the rtl modification this is very different. This s because of the rtl direction change. We have seen this before and this is a css issue. The modification to move the theme to rtl is not easy as lots of elements have to be adjusted including the mobile menu. By default the mobile menu is hidden from view to the left of the screen. If you change direction you will make it visible and have to hide it from view again. Sorry but we cannot provide any rtl solution sorry. if you find you cannot use our theme properly because of the missing RTL functionality we will be able to provide a refund as our theme is not RTL compatible.
Thank you!
thank you Bogdan, i will try with my designers to resolve problem, my client was choose the theme and i said that it will be ok so i can’t say “ther’s problem with arabic” 🙂
thanks for help ! i dont know but it seems ther’s many topic for arabic rtl with the theme so may be it’s time to resolve the RTL probleme 🙂
