We recently upgraded to Newspaper 11.5.1 to support the WordPress 6.02 update. The consistent problem is that the mobile navigation menu does not open on some pages only. The mobile menu does open on all post pages but not the homepage or archive pages for example. This has been a consistent issue on multiple site updates.
Details:
• Mobile theme enabled
• AMP enabled (only for posts)
• Newspaper 11.5.1
• PHP 8.0
• WordPress 6.0.2
• The mobile menu works on posts using the mobile theme. (AMP is enabled for posts only)
• The mobile menu does not work on pages using the mobile theme. (Home, Archives, etc…)

I would like to add another issue to this. Pages set to not use the mobile theme in the individual page settings are completely broken. It appears no styles are loaded. This appears to be from using a child theme, when you switch to using the main theme the issue goes away.

About the problem with the mega menu, unfortunately I can not recreate on my install. I just tested the NP12 update and that does fix the flyout menu problem we were seeing that you couldn’t replicate earlier so that is good. We are still seeing the problem regarding mobile theme/AMP. Do you have an update on this?

• A page that has the mobile theme manually turned off. This page should default to use the responsive theme but is broken.

I’m glad to hear that the problem with the flyout menu is resolved using php 8.
About the mobile problem. The solution that we recommend and it can be used without problems if you do not have many pages disabled from amp is to disable the mobile theme plugin, edit the pages and disable the amp plugin from them -> https://i.imgur.com/hX6WjBT.png after you do this on the pages you no longer want the amp version, just set back the mobile theme and this will resolve the problem.
Now if you do not want the amp on any page, just disable it from here -> https://i.imgur.com/cKm518n.png
