Theres no amphtml link generated, no amp specific markup generated, my WordPress menus don’t even have an “AMP” section, except under Appearance, which just takes me to the “Customizer”
Is there some settings somewhere? Maybe I’m misunderstanding how this plugin works?

And viewing the page linked (https://techly.io/google-search-console-star-wars-mode/) shows no actual AMP code anywhere.

The Google AMP validator says the pages /?amp counterpart isn’t even a valid AMP page:

I’m using WordPress version 5.1.1, Newspaper 9.7.1, and AMP 1.1.1

@josh-2 Please update to theme version 9.7.2, in the previous theme version there was an issue with AMP not working – http://prntscr.com/nl1wft
With 9.7.2 there should be no problem. Let us know if there is still a problem after you update.
@Milan AMP seems to be active and working for your website, using 9.7.2
