Mobile site on lower resolution desktops

Hello. I am running a newspaper in Turkey and to be honest, there are lots of monitors with resolutions lower than 1080p such as 5:4 1280×1024 or 1366×768 laptops here in Turkey. Every time I try to open it on those displays, it shows the mobile version which is extremely simplified and vertical indeed. Is there a way I can set the mobile view to only be active in vertical browser resolutions? Forced mobile version on 1366×768 or 1280×1024 is a very crucial problem for us right now. Thank you.

Hello,

So I understand you use the mobile theme plugin?
In your situation, I would recommend using a mobile responsive version.
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY (

Thank you for your reply. No, I am not using a mobile theme plugin. For all the pages and Cloud Templates, I have a mobile version page that is adapted to the vertical displays. Whenever I open the site in lower resolution desktop displays, it opens up the mobile version and does not force the desktop one. That is the problem, I want it to force desktop site on lower display desktop resolutions too. Mobile version is only meant for phones.

Hi ctemucin, our theme is using the normal resolutions standards (https://i.imgur.com/lcTld7l.png) unfortunately, there are no options to change/force desktop site on lower display, the only solution will be to create the mobile, iPad/tabled version to be more like desktop version.
Also from 1280×1024 and above the website should be display normally -> https://i.imgur.com/Qgkn8sD.png maybe only if you are using a demo that has rows set over 1200px. Can you please let us know what pre-build website are you using? Or a link to your website.
Thank you!

Hello. I am not using a demo. I’m building pages by importing header / footers from the cloud. It is gazete.red. Right now, it randomly changes to the mobile site. On some lower res screens, it displays correctly and on other it opens up the mobile site.

Hello. I have figured it out. It wasn’t the mobile view, it was the tablet view. if I can disable the tablet view or force the tablet view to desktop, it will be OK. By the way problem occurs on every page, all the templates and pages have mobile versions.

Hello,

Please check your Width settings on the columns on the Portrait viewport => https://i.imgur.com/saJ7xVU.png adjust it.

Thank you!
