I very much like the mobile theme and it’s philosohpy sands behind but I need just to select different categories in featured posts and a latest posts sections. PLease tell me how can chabge them?

The top grid displays only posts that have been included in the Featured category. The latest section displays posts sorted by latest from all you categories.
Only by modifications in the code you could change this functionality. This is a similar topic where a category is added in the code of the top grid, so the grid will display only posts from it, if this is what you want to do
