URGENT: Modal Image turned off for entire site with the latest Newspaper update

– ‘General Modal Image’ has been enabled in Theme Panel for a long time
– It was working fine until recently
– It only works if I INDIVIDUALLY go over each image and turn modal on (not feasible for 2000+ posts)

Major UI problem, please help!

@gcamaram – What I did for my site for now is to find like my top 50 popular posts and manually change it. Takes a while but better than nothing. GL!

nope fixed yet in 12.4 even in the list of fixed things… NOT FIXED

we went back to 12.3 were everything was working fine.

I had to upgrade to 12.6 due to vulnerability on 12.3.

Still not fixed. Modal is not working with classic editor and Newspaper 12.6
Are you aware of this?
