Hey!! I followed the guide here.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/display-image-using-modal-window/

but my images in posts when clicked open in new window. despite of that the all the images are “Linking To: Media File”. Only posts featured images are working right.

Hi,
You need to edit the image from post and set it to ON: like here: http://screencast.com/t/LTaS13WzPMR2 have you done this?

Also please update to the latest version.

Thanks for the message!

Same problem for me…

Hi,

Have you tried to set it by editing the image and set it to ON like in the screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/LTaS13WzPMR2
If so try to update the teheme to latest version (4.1) and if this problem is still there disable all plugins and give it another try.
If nothing works, please contact us via contact@tagdiv.com (also include a link to this topic or specify the issue details).

Thanks

Hi there,

I just noticed the same problem.

The modal image doesn’t work on pages (while on posts it’s working nicely).

Here’s a sample of our About Us page:

http://cobras.org/Home/about/?preview=true&preview_id=647&preview_nonce=5e52578351

Any solution?

Thanks

Note to above: preview links won’t work for public sharing; use a published link if you want others to access it. 🙂

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. I have also just tested this and looks like you are right as this feature isn’t working on pages. I added this on our todo list and we will investigate this and hopefully we can provide a fix for this as soon as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

Unfortunately we still have this on our issues list and still searching for a solution.
Until we improve this you can try to use a plugin for this.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the message!

Still no solution for pages ?

Post count: 22421

Hi,
Sorry, but there is no solution for this as the lightbox was designed to work on posts only. It will not work on pages. You can maybe try an alternative solution, a plugin called WP lightbox 2. I ran a few quick tests and it seems to work properly.
Thank you!

Hi,

I would like all images to use lightbox and installed the WP lightbox 2, but problem is that it does not work. In fact, I can’t get any other lightbox-plugin to work with the theme.

Example page: http://www.jokamies.fi/autoharrastajien-kokoontumiset-alkoivat-taas-mustanlahden-satamassa-tampereella-katso-kuvat/

Newspaper version 6.7

Hi,
The lightbox in our theme works as long as your image links to the media file (and not external links) and there are no links in the image caption. That is the way our modal image was designed. If you want to use external links, the modal image from our theme will not work properly. The wp lightbox 2 plugin was not tested officially. I ran a few tests and it seemed to work but this could not be the case anymore. you will have to try a few of them out or remove your links from the images and use the theme’s lightbox.
Thank you!

Hi,

Would it be possible to make all images modal and link to media file by default? If not the current ones, how about every new image? I mean the theme would add td-modal-image -class and link to media file automatically to new images.

Thanks.

Hello,
The theme will apply the modal image automatically for all images if you activate this option http://screencast.com/t/DG38CAK3CSFU but the link to the media file has to be set manually as the theme has no such option. Maybe you can find a wordpress ‘hack’ for your older images so you will not have to edit every one.
Thank you!
