I am using the Newsmag theme and had been looking around for a Lightbox plugin. However, I discovered the model image setting in the theme panel and have enabled it as a universal setting. Despite this, I am not seeing the enlarged images. I’ve tried clicking on images but with no result. I am obviously missing something obvious and would welcome a guiding hand from an expert.

Yes, I followed the instructions. First I tried with one image uploaded but when I click the pencil edit button it takes me back to the image library, not to the options shown in the tutorial.
I also tried setting the modal image as a default for the entire site but this does not have an effect.
Ideally, I would like to switch on the global modal image so that all images on the site can be enlarged.

With modal image disabled, I uploaded a test image and then tried to edit the properties using the pencil icon. This takes me to the image library and not to the edit screen as shown in the tutorial.
With model image enabled, there is no evidence that the lightbox effect is working. I’ve tried clicking and hovering.
I have now enabled global model image on the Newsmag theme template so you can check this out. If necessary I can give you temporary access to the site to check it out.
